Downtown Saratoga Springs

Located in the southern foothills of the Adirondacks, Saratoga Springs is world-famous for its race course, and mineral springs. Thanks to Global Foundries, in 2009 the city became a home to "Fab 8". A $15 billion chip-manufacturing plant, located in nearby Malta, equipped with clean rooms spanning six football fields, and creating jobs for 3600 people. Unsurprisingly, downtown Saratoga Springs is booming with an assortment of new hotels, office buildings, condominiums, and an 11-theatre movie complex.

Many are drawn to the region by such attractions as the Saratoga Performing Arts Center; the artistic and cultural offerings of Skidmore College; Yaddo gardens, the celebrated artist's colony; and, Caffe Lena, the oldest continually operating coffee house in the nation.
